Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Program Manager to assist with recruitment, training, supervising staff, and facilitating progressive discipline as needed.

You will engage with individuals in group homes to improve health and wellness, support recovery goals, and coordinate with families and external providers. The role requires on-call coverage, some evenings/weekends, and local travel.

Qualifications

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Human service experience with severe mental illness or substance use disorders preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must obtain MA MAP & CPR/First Aid within five months of hire.
  • Valid MA driver’s license required.

  • Liaise with families, guardians, DMH and outside providers.
  • Develop and implement Safety and Crisis Plans with the treatment team.
  • Provide transportation for individuals as needed.
  • On-call coverage; some evenings and weekends; some local travel.

Job description

What you\u2019ll do


  • With the Program Manager, assist with recruitment, training, supervising, evaluating and facilitate progressive discipline as needed for staff.

  • Engage with individuals in the group home and partner with them to improve their health and wellness, achieve symptom stabilization and self-management, develop and/or restore skills impacted by mental illness and live a self-directed life.

  • Assist people with psychiatric and substance use disorders to identify personal priorities, preferences, strengths, and interests in order to help them establish goals that support a life in recovery.

  • Liaison with families, guardians, DMH and other outside service providers.

  • In conjunction with the integrated treatment team implement Safety Plans and Crisis Prevention and Response Plans in order to help prevent and mitigate risk factors.

  • Provide transportation for Individuals as needed.

  • Position requires on-call coverage and some evening and weekend work as needed.

  • Position requires some local travel to attend to staff meetings and trainings, client functions/appointments and medical treatments.


What you\u2019ll need


  • Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.


  • Experience:

    • Human Service experience, specifically with populations with severe & persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder required. Supervisory experience preferred.


  • Skills:

    • Must obtain Massachusetts MAP & CPR/First Aide certifications within five (5) continuous months of hire (training provided).

    • Valid Mass driver’s license required.
