Job Description:

The Waste Pro Automated Side Load Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling. This includes overseeing helpers, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Safely operate the truck on established routes, collecting and dumping refuse appropriately.
2. Provide courteous and efficient customer service.
3. Ensure proper collection and transfer of refuse and recyclables.
4. Perform daily vehicle inspections following safety guidelines.
5. Maintain cleanliness of the truck, including exterior washing.
6. Assist in cleanup duties and move large trash bins as needed.
7. Complete required reports and documents accurately.
8. Supervise helpers during routes.
9. Comply with all DOT and state regulations for commercial vehicle operation.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
• At least 21 years old.
• Understanding of refuse collection policies and DOT requirements.
• Good hearing and vision, with normal range of body motion.
• Ability to operate different types of refuse trucks and heavy equipment controls.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain records.
• Proficient in English communication.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

Must be able to lift and push 50 pounds repeatedly, work in extreme weather conditions, and perform physical tasks regularly.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in training courses.
• Stay updated with current technology used by Waste Pro.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
