A leading community organization in New York is looking for Residential Aid staff to provide essential support in a transitional facility. The role involves ensuring clients acclimate to their environment, assisting with daily living skills, and maintaining safety standards. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, and experience in shelter settings is preferred. The position offers competitive pay based on experience, with bilingual candidates earning higher salaries.
Organization Overview:The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults through-out Manhattan and New York City. We work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and low-income families, out-of-school and out-of-work youth, and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville, and seek to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational.
Program Description: Goddard Riverside invests in people & strengthens community, serving more than 20,000 people throughout New York City with a variety of programs for all ages. We work within a social justice framework to create a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families.
Goddard’s newest endeavor will be a transitional Site for adult families. This site will be a place where families can feel safe, receive resources and supportive services, while becoming acclimated to, and part of, the community.
Restgate Hotel is an emergency capacity transitional site located in Long Island City, Queens.
Position Summary:RA team will ensure clients are getting acclimated to their living situation, following rules & regulations ofthe site, and assist in monitoring the residence. Residential Aid staff are the first welcoming face new residents are greeted by!
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 11pm-7am
Salary Range: Between$35,000 to $43,000
Bilingual: $40,500-$43,000
Non-bilingual: $35,000-$40,000
Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salaryoffer will be basedonthe candidate’s number of years experience in the exact orcomparableposition and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
