Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, seeks a Residential Aide to support daily living activities and basic nursing care for non-critical patients. The role operates under RN supervision in a high‑care environment across Maine.

Closer to the team, you’ll help maintain a safe setting. Qualifications include RCS-I or PSS, state registry placement within 120 days, and BLS within 90 days, plus prior acute care or similar experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire and maintain current.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital, assisted living facility, or physician’s office, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Overview

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH), a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine through a network of more than 40 primary and specialty care locations. The Residential Aide assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Residential Care Specialist 1 (RCS -I) or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) Certification required within 120 calendar days.

2. Placed on state registry within 120 calendar days.

3. Current BLSor within 90 days of hireandmaintaincurrent.

4. Possess knowledge of Medical Terminology

5. Minimum six monthsofprevious experience in an acute care hospital, assisted living facility,or physician’s office,preferred.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Long Term Care, Inc offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $18.00 to $21.75. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
