Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Residential Advisor to be at the forefront of creating a home away from home for our students. You will build relationships, foster community, and provide guidance in the residential setting.

Responsibilities include mentoring students, organizing inclusive activities, handling crises, enforcing policies, helping develop life skills, and collaborating with staff to support student success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum of one year Job Corps or related program experience required.
• In-state driver's license preferred.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling/pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching; must be able to lift 40 pounds and assess lift load.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and role model students; provide guidance on personal development and goal setting.
• Foster community within the residential area; organize inclusive activities and group discussions.
• Respond to emergencies or crises; ensure safety and well-being of students.
• Address conflicts with empathy and professionalism; promote positive living environment.
• Enforce residential policies; maintain a safe and respectful setting.
• Assist students in developing life skills such as time management and budgeting.
• Collaborate with Residential Advisors, academic staff, and support services to support student success.

Education
