Job summary

Horizon House, Inc. is seeking a full-time Residential Advisor to join our Developmental Services Division in Eastern Pennsylvania.

The role provides care and supervision for residents, promotes a safe environment, and supports growth for adults with psychiatric, developmental, or homeless-related needs. Responsibilities include designing and implementing Individual Program Plans, documenting client progress, and advocating toward independence in daily living skills.

Qualifications

A degree in the social sciences or health care related field and one year of relevant experience in the MH/MR field.
Experience with implementing behavior management plans and/or supports.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

To provide care and supervision of all assigned residents to ensure a safe, healthy, secure and pleasant environment.
To assist in the design and implementation of the Individual Program Plans and document client progress.
To advocate resident growth toward independence in self-care, daily living skills, socialization and community living.
