Job summary

Management & Training Corporation in Reno, NV seeks staff to monitor residential students, uphold Center rules and promote character development. The role involves responding to injuries or emergencies and documenting incidents, while guiding students in designated areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience working with youth is preferred.
• Valid driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students living on residential floors to ensure Center rules are followed.
• Foster an atmosphere conducive to character development and positive behavior.
• Assist in injuries, illnesses, or traumatic events and document student activity and incidences.
• Provide basic direction and instruction in designated areas.
• Motivate and counsel students on behavior, training, and study habits.
• Coordinate with career counselors to resolve issues affecting student training.
• Develop and conduct enrichment programs as assigned.
• Participate in student employability programs and activities.

Schedule – Full Time, 8hr shifts, Prime/Swing Shift 3:00pm-12am or Night/Graveyard 11:30pm-8:30am

What you will be doing:

You’ll be responsible for monitoring students that live on residential floors to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the Center. Fosters an atmosphere conducive to character development through the encouragement of favorable behavior patterns. Facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance in the event of injury, illness, traumatic experience, and emotionalism; responsible for documenting student activity and incidences.

Essential Functions

• Provide student with basic direction, instruction and assistance in designated area(s).
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits.
• Coordinate with career counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training.
• Develop and conduct enrichment programs as assigned.
• Participate in student employ-ability programs and activities.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• One (1) year experience working with the youth.
• A valid driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record required.
