Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Clearfield Job Corps Center in Clearfield, UT. We seek staff to monitor residential dormitories, enforce Center rules, and foster a safe, respectful environment for youth. This full-time role includes varying shifts with possible overtime and on-call work.

Responsibilities include patrols, incident documentation, and supporting a positive customer service mindset. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and one year of youth experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year experience working with youth.
• Valid driver's license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor dormitories to ensure safety and proper behavior of students.
• Assist with recreational activities for students on and off center.
• Direct students and assist in the cleanup and maintenance of dormitory.
• Promote, support, and positive customer service through the facility.
• Participate in student employability program and activities.

Schedule – Varies

Full Time, 8hr shifts with some overtime possibilities

Swing Shift

• Thursday through Sunday- 3:30 pm to 12:30 am (2/32 hrs.)
• Monday through Wednesday- 3:30 pm to 12:30 am and Saturday and Sunday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (2/40 hrs.)

Graveyard Shift

• Tuesday through Saturday & Thursday through Monday - 12:00 am to 8:00am (2/40 hrs.)
• Sunday through Wednesday - 12:00 am to 8:00 am (2/32 hrs.)

On-call: possibility of working a variety of shifts – afternoon, evenings, nights, and weekends.

What you will be doing:

You'll be responsible for monitors students that live on residential floors to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the Center. Fosters an atmosphere conducive to character development through the encouragement of favorable behavior patterns. Facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance in the event of injury, illness, traumatic experience, and emotionalism; responsible for documenting student activity and incidences.
