Job summary

Harmony House Care Center in Waterloo, IA is seeking an experienced Activity Director to lead residents' emotional and social well‑being through engaging programs and events.

You will oversee the Activity Department, coordinate with care teams, and develop new activities to meet physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs. NCCAP certification is preferred; prior Activity Aide/Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior Activity Aide and/or Activity Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• One year of experience in a director or managerial role.
• NCCAP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead residents' emotional and social wellbeing through activity programs.
• Oversee all aspects of the Activity Department and coordinate with care teams.
• Develop new activity programs to meet physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
