Job summary

The Phoenix at Lake Lanier in Gainesville, GA is seeking an Assistant Program and Outreach Director (Activities Assistant) for a part-time role to enhance resident-centered activities. The position reports to the Program and Outreach Director and involves facilitating wellness-oriented activities across emotional, physical, social, intellectual and spiritual dimensions.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma with preferred experience in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, and job related experience preferred in a senior living community.
• Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and fellow associates for their involvement in the social events and various scheduled social activities
• Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care preferred

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a variety of activities that promote wellness across emotional, physical, social, intellectual and spiritual dimensions
• Assist residents and care staff in daily activities and engagement throughout the day and evening
• Document resident information and changes in condition through communication logs
• Maintain activity spaces and inventories of supplies, games, programs, and crafts
• Assist with life skills activities and normalizing life enrichment routines for residents
