$19.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Overview

At FutureCare, our Resident Transporters (GNA) are part of our frontline healthcare team and play a pivotal role in the care and support of our residents. Under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor, they are responsible for transporting residents throughout the facility via wheelchair or stretcher in a timely and courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the nurse manager regarding daily issues related to resident behavior.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment and hazards to the nursing department.
• Perform various support services as needed.
• Adhere to FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and Compliance Plan.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current GNA certification and license in Maryland.
• Possess a positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and patient with residents.
• Show empathy and compassion to increase resident comfort.
