Job summary

Arcadia Care in Illinois seeks a Transportation Aide to coordinate restorative nursing care and transport residents safely to appointments and activities. You will work under Nursing and Rehabilitation directions, maintaining accurate care and transport records.

The role requires a CNA with an Illinois license, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills for reports and scheduling. Prior bus/van driving experience is a plus in a fast-paced care setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by the State.
• Active Illinois Driver's License is required.
• Driver's license class depends on vehicle size (Class C with passenger endorsement or Class E).
• DOT compliant physical. Age restrictions: 25+ and ≤74. Experience as a bus/van driver preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide restorative nursing care under Nursing/ Rehabilitation directions.
• Transport patients to hospitals, clinics, dialysis, and residences safely and professionally.
• Maintain restorative progress notes and patient records.
• Transfer patients between admissions and rehab services; attend rehab rounds.
• Instruct care staff in restorative techniques and equipment use.
