Job summary

TerraBella Salisbury is seeking a Driver to provide timely, courteous transportation for residents to activities, while ensuring safety and comfort. The role requires assisting mobility-impaired passengers and maintaining vehicles in good condition.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be at least 21, and may need a CDL depending on regulatory requirements. Prior customer service experience in a senior living setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• CDL may be required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal DOT regulations.
• Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from activities.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize them during trips.
• Safely operate radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base or other vehicles.
• Maintain all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license plate renewals.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.
