Job summary

Acatwhiting is seeking a full-time Transport Aide to safely transport residents for therapy sessions, medical appointments, and activities. The role supports nursing and rehabilitation staff to ensure residents arrive on time, comfortable, and with dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobility devices, positioning, and communicating residents’ needs, while adhering to infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, SNF, or rehabilitation setting is a plus.
• Must be HHA licensed.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from therapy, dining, activities, and appointments.
• Assist residents with wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices.
• Ensure residents are properly positioned and secured during transport.
• Communicate resident needs or concerns to nursing or therapy staff.
• Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of transport equipment.
• Respond promptly to transport requests.
• Provide courteous and respectful interactions with residents and families.
