Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Resident Teacher to work at an Elevate campus, collaborating with experienced educators to develop teaching skills, reinforce concepts, monitor progress, and prepare instructional materials.

You will learn within the Elevate model, provide small group instruction, participate in PD, observe mentors, and help maintain engaging, inclusive classrooms while communicating with families.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; major in Education or related field preferred.
• Teaching experience preferred; experience with diverse student populations preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborates with teachers to support classroom management and create an engaging learning environment.
• Assists in planning and implementing lesson plans, instructional activities, and assessments.
• Provides individual or small group instruction to reinforce learning objectives.
• Supports students in developing academic and social-emotional skills.
• Participates in professional development sessions and workshops to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Attends teacher meetings, observes experienced teachers, and engages in reflective practices.
• Collaborates with mentor teachers to receive feedback, guidance, and support for continuous improvement.
• Stays informed about current educational trends, instructional strategies, and best practices.
• Fosters positive and inclusive relationships with students, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Assists in assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records of student performance.
• Supports student behavior management and reinforces classroom expectations.
• Collaborates with other staff members to identify and address student needs and challenges.
• Establishes open and effective communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about student progress and achievements.
• Participates in parent-teacher conferences and other school events to foster a strong home-school partnership.
• Contributes to the school community by attending and supporting extracurricular activities and events.
• Serves as a substitute teacher in the event of teacher absence, maintaining instructional continuity for students.
