Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for grade level and/or subject area.
• One year of certified teaching experience required.
• Bilingual fluency beneficial in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Teach district curriculum using well-designed, standards-aligned lesson plans.
• Employ rigorous instructional strategies and project-based learning to foster collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
• Utilize a variety of instructional media and techniques appropriate to student capabilities.
• Assess student mastery using formative assessments, performance tasks, standardized tests, and observations.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, grades, and assessment data.
• Monitor and proctor standardized tests; manage test materials and data securely.
• Establish and maintain effective classroom management and discipline strategies.
• Monitor student behavior in classrooms, hallways, and duty stations.
• Create a learning environment that is safe, inclusive, and conducive to academic success.
• Initiate and maintain open communication with parents and families.
• Participate in school events, open houses, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Interpret and promote the schools educational programs to the community.
• Collaborate with peers, serve on committees, and contribute to curriculum development.
• Attend district and campus professional development activities.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and demonstrate high standards of conduct and work ethic.
• Supervise and evaluate aides, volunteers, and student teachers as applicable.
• Refer students for evaluation by district specialists when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
