Summary
The Resident Support Professional provides personal care and supervision in residential facilities for individuals with serious mental illness.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and supervision to residents in adult residential facilities, ensuring safety and comfort; follow individual service plans for each client, tailoring care to specific needs and preferences.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and independent living, including medication oversight.
- Monitor and document client status, taking appropriate actions to promote well-being; report any changes in client status to ensure prompt attention and support.
- Accurately document client status changes, including physical changes, medication reactions, psychosocial status changes, and behavioral changes.
- Strictly adhere to guidelines outlined in the employee handbook, including dress code, code of conduct, and scheduling policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility and resident needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality care.
Qualifications and Skills
- Basic First Aid & CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
- Effective communication skills.
- Empathy, compassion, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in record-keeping software.
