Job summary

Magnify of Central Florida is seeking a Direct Support Professional to supervise and coach individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will help residents gain independence and wellbeing, documenting progress and coordinating with families and service providers.

Responsibilities include developing daily living skills, assisting with personal care, and managing schedules and records in compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year working in medical, psychiatric, nursing, childcare, or similar settings.
• College credit can substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop residents' basic living skills (social, domestic, and hygiene) through instruction and positive reinforcement.
• Assist and document progress toward long- and short-term goals for residents.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and service providers.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily living tasks as needed.
• Coordinate residents' schedules, appointments, and transportation.
• Maintain records and documentation per Magnify of Central Florida and regulatory requirements.
• Follow resident care plans and safety procedures; report concerns promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
