Job summary

Monarch Landing in Naperville, IL is seeking a hospitality-minded Resident Support for part-time hours (10:00am–6:30pm, every other weekend). You will join a team to provide meals, laundry, and daily activities in a resident-centered environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, respectful care, and maintaining resident confidentiality. Requires a high school diploma or GED; prior skilled nursing experience is preferred and a sanitation course must be completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists in serving meals and cleans the household kitchen(s).
• Works collaboratively with team members to meet resident preferences.
• Washes dishes and handles trash removal after each meal.
• Checks the laundry room for washed clothes and coordinates with staff on remaining laundry.
• Provides opportunities for residents to participate in daily life and decision-making.
• Respects residents' suites and home environment, helping residents feel in charge.
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy of resident information and care.

Part-Time positions available, 10:00am-6:30pm, every other weekend.

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Resident Support works as part of a team in an assigned household sharing in the completion of all tasks related to resident/guest care and household operation, including meal service, and laundry. Respects the person-centered care environment by offering choices to residents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists in serving meals, and cleaning the household kitchen(s).
• Works collaboratively with team members to maintain the functioning of the household—according to resident preferences.
• Responsible for washing dishes and trash removal after every meal.
• Check the laundry room for washed clothes to put away and check with staff on the floor for any laundry that still needs to be washed.
• Provides opportunities for all residents to participate in the daily life and decision-making of the household in meaningful ways.
• Respect the resident’s suite and household as home and assist the residents in feeling in charge of everything that happens within.
• Maintains confidentiality and privacy of resident information and care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some experience working in a skilled nursing environment is preferred.
• Completion of food service sanitation course required within first thirty (30) days of hire.
• Ability to use good reasoning and judgment and react calmly in emergencies.
• Ability to function independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Ability to keep information confidential.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, and staff. Requires a courteous, positive, friendly, and helpful attitude.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
