Job summary

Packsize is seeking a Resident Service Engineer to install, configure and maintain equipment onsite at customer facilities in the Dallas area.

The role requires strong problem-solving, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and excellent customer service with a flexible day/night shift schedule. You will perform start-up testing, provide training, and troubleshoot using drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service focus and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Windows platforms and basic office software.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and use of hand tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Relevant technical or vocational education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Packsize equipment onsite at customer facilities.
• Perform start-up testing and deliver customer training on capabilities.
• Troubleshoot issues using technical drawings and documentation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Software and Quality teams to ensure performance.
• Schedule tasks at customer sites and communicate findings clearly.

They must be a creative problem solver with the ability to identify, analyze, maintain and repair complex mechanical equipment and answer difficult customer questions about product features. A Resident Service Engineer will perform start-up testing and deliver customer training on product capabilities, features and general maintenance of the product. They will build and maintain a strong, trust-based customer relationship with their assigned customer(s) and will work closely with other supporting Packsize team members to provide exceptional customer service.Schedule – The flex role will flex into any of the available four shifts. Will have a base shift on either the day or night shift.What You’ll DoScheduling tasks at a customer’s job sitesTroubleshooting issues, quickly and effectively, using technical drawings and documentationWork cross-functionally with R&D, Software and Quality Engineering teamsPerforming routine maintenance and emergency services as they ariseAnalyze customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to identify new or ongoing machine performance issues resulting in problem-solving and machine maintenanceContinuous learning, including the customer’s operational processes, packaging designs, technical specificationsInstallation of Packsize solutions and training others to use and maintain itBasic clerical and administrative duties, including timely reading and responding to emails, preparing and submitting expense reports, making travel arrangements, writing detailed technical reports, etc.Responsively and productively communicate information and ideas with Packsize and customer’s personnel so they will understand.
