To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Effective 12/1/11, all new hires will need to have a BSN as a minimum requirement or a Master's degree in Nursing. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing).
Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required.
Physical and cognitive requirements: The position's physical requirements necessitate a full range of body motion including assisting patients, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. Classified as Very Heavy Work according to USDOL, involving exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Follow NIOSH guidelines, which recommend not lifting more than 51 pounds without assistance. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, effective communication skills, and reasoning abilities are required. The role involves considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, and photocopying. Must perform work accurately, pay attention to details, adapt to changing tasks, and function effectively in stressful situations. Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary health team and utilize effective time management skills is essential.
