Position Summary:
The Resident Relations Director is responsible for governing, curating, and leading a robust and high-end resident relations experience. Overseeing a team of passionate Resident Relations coordinators to ensure a seamless residency. Supporting a calendar of events & activities designed exclusively for the residents, with the goal of creating a sense of community and a highly sought-after resident lifestyle. Be a “glue” for the community, a Picerne Residential cultural ambassador operating with a high EQ. Although not directly responsible for sales (leasing), the role requires general oversight and is considered the business leader of the property.
The position will inform and consult with the Chief Experience Officer as appropriate.
Job Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with management, cohesively steer the short- and long-term strategies in the implementation of the Community and Lifestyle program
- Oversee all require resident interactions and notifications/communications executed by the coordinator
- Execute an annual Community and Lifestyle Calendar as part of the annual business plan in collaboration with the corporate events department
- Continuously create collaborations and strategic partnerships locally, regionally, and nationally
- Be an agent of creation, while fitting the Picerne Residential culture, strategy, and brand
- Act as a local ambassador by promoting the Picerne Residential lifestyle and residences through invaluable real-life connections using unique portfolio of partners and contacts
- Work closely with the marketing and events department to promote the property through this program
- Gather resident insights periodically and incorporate resident interest in the programming
Tangibles:
- Responsible for on-boarding of new Resident Relation Coordinators
- Be knowledgeable about and able to coach the Resident Relations Coordinator(s) in connection with Resident services, hours of operations, in-house events, directions, etc.
- Lead by example and provide coaching and guidance to team, operate with a high EQ
- Collaborate with the Chief Experience Officer on all Resident Incident Reports and ensure recovery those involved
- Handle resident feedback or complaints, write resident incident reports and work with the team for solutions
- Analyze resident feedback from the Reputation Management software and suggest ways to improve ratings
- Communicate with Portfolio Services as applicable
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, in Hospitality or related field preferred
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-changing environment
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hospitality/customer service or lifestyle residential living
- Experience as a guest relations or sales manager in the Hospitality industry, ideally in a 5-star property
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A team player who is resourceful and self-motivating, with the ability to learn on the job through colleagues and technical resources and likewise, pass on learned techniques to others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Ability to take direction and being able to perform in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Knowledge of Yardi, and other related residential software application preferred
- Flexibility in this role is essential as the hours of work can vary to include Resident events or activations
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- Ability to initiate and foster relationships, persuasive communicator, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to initiate, plan, prioritize and oversee multiple projects/tasks successfully and meet frequent deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to anticipate and resolve issues inherent to residential lifestyle living and developing resourceful and creative solutions
- Maintain a standard of excellence, diplomacy and attention to detail aligned with the Picerne Residential culture, desire to consistently deliver high-impact resident service experience
- Creativity to build momentum and excitement for residents with each event
- Entrepreneurial, make-it-happen approach, resourceful, and sense of fulfillment from connecting-the-dots and making results happen
- Flexibility to adapt to a varied work schedule based on regular business hours plus event demands (overtime, nights, weekends, and ability to travel - when necessary)
- Ability to build cohesion within a team of diverse talents and expertise in working towards the same goal in a transparent, collaborative, and organized manner while showing a strong ability to work independently (when necessary)
- Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience
- Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role is eligible for additional discretionary incentives based on set goals being achieved
