Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Resident Project Representative 2 - Environmental in Bellevue, WA. You will read drawings, manage daily records, review materials, and track quantities to ensure contract compliance across multidisciplinary projects.

Preferred candidates hold a PE license or CCM certification, with a background in Environmental Engineering. The role involves coordinating meetings, supervising junior staff, and supporting project audits in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Understanding of contracts; familiarity with codes and laws governing construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Team-oriented; able to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of contractor activities, work performed, and resources used.
  • Review construction materials for contract compliance.
  • Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance.
  • Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings.
  • Observe installation and acceptance testing of equipment and systems.
  • Identify nonconforming work, develop punchlists, and follow through to correction.
  • Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance.
  • Assist with project audits and closeout.
  • Supervise junior Resident Project Representatives and inspectors.

Resident Project Representative 2 - Environmental

We’ll count on you to:

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
  • Maintain accurate daily records of the contractor's daily activities and the work performed, and of the labor, equipment and materials used
  • Review construction materials for contract compliance
  • Track quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptance
  • Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings
  • Conduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems
  • Identify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists and maintain them until corrected
  • Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance
  • Assist with project audit/closeout
  • Work under general supervision of a Design Project Manager
  • Supervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors, testing services and subconsultants
  • Perform other duties as needed

This position is subject to a preemployment drug test.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
  • Environmental Engineering degree
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
  • Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer
Required Qualifications
