Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. seeks a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow dietary needs, maintain cleanliness, and provide friendly service to residents and staff.

Responsibilities include food prep, portion control, sanitation, safety and teamwork. This on-site role in West Virginia offers training and benefits as described by the employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Communicate effectively with building occupants, administration and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies must be complied with.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state law.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
