East Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in New York is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents' nutritional needs with care and attention. You will prepare meals, ensure safety and hygiene, and assist with dining area setup and clean-up in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and good communication to follow dietary procedures and state regulations while providing compassionate service to residents and families.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing home or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Food service experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures is important.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages following dietary guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
• Deliver meals to residents, following special dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Take inventory of kitchen supplies and food items, assisting with restocking as needed.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including kitchen maintenance and general cleaning tasks.
• Assist in setting up and taking down dining areas before and after meals.
• Stay up to date on facility-specific dietary procedures, including state regulations.
• Support educational programs on nutrition and dietary wellness as needed.
