Job summary

Fresh River Healthcare in Hartford, CT is seeking a Dietary Assistant to support meal service for residents, including cleaning food prep areas and assisting with trays.

You will help prepare hot and cold foods, maintain meal schedules, and assist with nourishments while following safety and hygiene standards. Strong English communication and ability to follow written and oral instructions are required; prior healthcare experience is a plus, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must follow time schedules for meal preparation and serving.
• Must be able to speak, read and write the English language clearly.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Some previous experience preferred in Healthcare industry

Responsibilities

• Helps prepares hot and cold foods and beverages. Maintains and follows all meal schedules.
• Prepares trays with proper and accurate food items, as well as transports meals Prepares snacks and nourishments for residents
• Cleans food preparation areas as well as dishes, utensils, glasses, cups etc.
