Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Technician 3 in Beech Island, SC. The role requires 4+ years in industrial maintenance and strong troubleshooting across electrical and mechanical systems. Proficiency with PLC communications, HMIs, and familiarity with schematics and panel drawings are essential.

The candidate will repair and maintain material handling equipment, perform preventative maintenance, document work, and manage asset-tracking in the CMMS. Overtime and rotating shifts apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in Industrial maintenance.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Proficient in PLC communications and HMIs.
• Familiar with schematics and panel drawings.
• Ability to locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking and component replacement.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and close work orders into asset management system with data on labor, equipment, and parts.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and identify resources needed to resolve.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure specs.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels.

Dematic has an immediate need for an Electrical Mechanical Technician 3 in Beech Island SC. Candidates will have a minimum of 4+ years' experience in Industrial maintenance, preventative maintenance, Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting, problem solving. Qualified candidates are proficient in PLC communications, Equipment Management Software. Familiar with schematic and panel assembly drawings, working with PLCs and HMIs, and implementation and commissioning of engineering design projects. Acts as a material handling technician on all equipment that is installed. This is a rotating shift working Sunday through Saturday, Front Shift 7:00am -7:30pm, Back Shift 7:00pm-7:30 am. Typically, an associate degree or vocational technical training is preferred. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.2-3 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours.Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.#In-post
