Job summary

KION Group in Lebanon, TN is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 to troubleshoot and perform preventative/predictive maintenance on industrial material handling equipment. The role operates on a night shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, Sunday night through Thursday night, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain material handling equipment (MHE), incl. belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines and document procedures for efficient operation.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and complete detailed work orders in asset management system with labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and determine resources needed for resolution.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance and testing to ensure equipment meets specifications.
• Respond to service calls; diagnose root causes to correct faults.
• Identify problems promptly and take steps to resolve them for smooth operation.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels.

Job description

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for the day-to‑day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on industrial material handling equipment. Acts as a material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at the Lebanon, TN. The shift hours for this role will be 10:00 pm - 6:30 am, Sunday Night through Thursday Night. Additional overtime may be required based on customer needs.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $28 to $33.50 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do In This Role

• Effectively repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) inclusive of belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.

• Locate and track spare parts from inventory ensure minimal downtime.
• Performs routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
• Respond to service calls; diagnose root causes to correct equipment failures and faults.
• Promptly Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to resolve them to ensure the smooth operation of facility equipment.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

What We Are Looking For

• We welcome applicants with a High School diploma or equivalent experience. Preferably, an associate degree or vocational-technical training is desirable. Specialized skill training/certification is helpful.
• 2-3 years of troubleshooting electro‑mechanical equipment preferred.
• Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.
• Ability to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours.
• Demonstrate Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
