Job summary

Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is seeking an organized Activities Director to lead our resident activities and life enrichment program. You will plan, develop, implement, and oversee recreational, social, educational, spiritual, and therapeutic programming that promotes resident engagement, independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, memory care, recreation, therapeutic activities, or a related setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of resident-centered programming, documentation, care planning, and long-term care regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive activities and life enrichment program for facility residents.
• Develop and maintain a monthly activity calendar that provides a variety of individual, small-group, and large-group programming.
• Lead and supervise Activities Department staff, including scheduling, delegation, training, and ongoing support.
• Participate in resident assessments, care planning, interdisciplinary meetings, and other required clinical or operational processes related to resident activities and psychosocial well-being.
