Job summary

Sunnyslope Nursing Home is seeking an Activity Aid to design and run engaging programs that stimulate residents’ spiritual, cognitive, social, physical, and creative well-being. You will work closely with staff to organize activities and ensure they reach residents of all abilities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior experience as activity assistant.
• Prior experience in Long-Term Care/Healthcare is preferred.
• Empathy and care for those that need help.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled activities programs that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical, and creative expressions.
• Assist with organizing, planning, and implementation of programs and opportunities that promote resident well-being.
• Enthusiastically promote and communicate programs and events to residents.
• Passionately motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities.
• Interact with families and visitors of our residents.
