Job summary

Sanatoga Ridge Community is seeking a warm, organized Resident Life Assistant to support daily operations in the Resident Life department. This role blends administrative tasks, resident services, program coordination, and front-office duties to ensure smooth operations.

During a transition to a dedicated reception model, you will provide front-office coverage, handle resident inquiries, and assist with programs and events. Over time, the focus shifts toward resident engagement and programming.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Administrative, customer service, hospitality, senior living, recreation, programming, or similar experience preferred.
  • Warm, professional, and patient communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and interruptions while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Good judgment, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
  • Comfort interacting with and assisting older adults.
  • Ability to move throughout the campus and occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Resident Life and help keep department records, schedules, communications, and day-to-day processes organized.
  • Serve as a welcoming point of contact for residents, visitors, vendors, and callers.
  • Assist residents with routine questions, forms, registrations, payments, copies, and other office needs.
  • Manage registrations, RSVPs, attendance lists, program records, calendars, reminders, and related materials.
  • Assist with coordinating resident programs, educational offerings, trips, entertainment, and special events.
  • Assist with correspondence, notices, and other community communications.
  • Help coordinate with presenters, vendors, volunteers, resident groups, and community partners.
  • Perform routine data entry, filing, scanning, copying, mailing, and document preparation.
  • Receive and appropriately route resident requests and work orders to the responsible department.
  • Support Welcome Home activities, resident engagement efforts, and other community-building initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with Resident Life and other SRC departments on organizational priorities and special projects.

Resident Life Assistant

Sanatoga Ridge Community is seeking a warm, organized, and dependable Resident Life Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Resident Life department.

This is a varied position that combines administrative support, resident service, communication, program coordination, and front-office responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing details, responding to resident needs, supporting multiple priorities, and helping programs and events run smoothly.

During SRC's transition to a dedicated reception model, this position will also provide front-office coverage and routine resident and administrative support. Over time, the role is expected to shift toward greater emphasis on Resident Life departmental support, resident engagement, and programming.

What You'll Do
