Sunnyslope Nursing Home is seeking an Activity Aid to foster a warm, engaging environment for residents in Ohio. You will plan and lead activities that nurture spiritual, cognitive, social, physical, and creative expressions while supporting overall resident well-being.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior activity assistant experience, and strong empathy and communication skills to connect with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as an activity assistant.
• Prior experience in Long-Term Care/Healthcare is preferred.
• Empathy and care for those that need help.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled activities programs that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical, and creative expressions.
• Assist with the organizing, planning, and implementation of programs and opportunities that promote resident well-being.
• Enthusiastically promote and communicate programs and events to residents.
• Passionately motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities.
• Interact with families and visitors of our residents.
