Job summary

Seacrest Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New Jersey seeks an Activities Assistant to engage residents through meaningful programs and enrich their social, emotional, and physical well-being. This PRN role offers an hourly rate of $15.92 and a supportive, caring team in a 171-bed facility.

You will document participation, assist in planning activities, and work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality resident-centered care and events.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in an Activities Department or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging environment to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Document resident participation in activities and programs.
• Promote well-being through meaningful activities and interactions.
• Plan, develop, organize, and implement recreational and community-based programs.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals.
• Assist with community outreach and marketing events showcasing resident-centered care.
• Complete audits, reports, and activity documentation.
• Escort and transport residents to activities and events as needed.
