The Terrace of Delray Beach Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to support planning, implementing and evaluating recreational programs for residents according to care plans. You will document progress and coordinate with the care team to enhance resident well-being.

Ideal candidates have experience in long-term care activities, a patient and cheerful demeanor, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department (CNA preferred).
Must be patient, tactful, cheerful and enthusiastic with residents.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsabilités

Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating activity programs and quality assurance.
Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement to evaluate progress and chart results.
Develop good rapport with other departments to ensure daily activities run smoothly.
Prepare activity rooms and coordinate equipment and supply needs for programs.
Assist in cleaning activity areas after functions.
Follow the care plan when providing daily activities for residents.
Purchase supplies and personal items for residents.
Maintain confidentiality of resident information and treat residents with dignity.
Oversee residents during activities to promote physical, social, and mental well-being.
Assist in-room residents by visiting, writing letters, running errands, and crafts.
Other duties as assigned.
