Job summary

Avir Health Group is seeking a Certified Activities Director to join our team. The Activity Director will coordinate the entire activity program within the facility, considering residents' needs, interests, and abilities to promote constructive and quality leisure time.

You will work closely with facility operators and staff to create a home-like atmosphere. Responsibilities include developing, promoting and organizing recreation programs (music, arts and crafts, cultural arts, nature study,

Qualifications

• Certification required: Activity Director Certification.
• Nursing home experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote recreation programs including music, dance, arts and crafts, cultural arts, nature study, social recreation and physically and mentally stimulating exercises.
• Keep abreast of current events within the community and utilize available resources.
• Organize and maintain both daily and monthly schedule of activities. Inform and assist residents regarding activities.
• Develop residents' council/grievance committee to encourage the residents' involvement and provides means for ensuring the rights of residents.
• Supervise volunteer support.
