Job summary

Arbor-Care-Centers is seeking an Activities Director to develop, organize and coordinate living center and community resources for comprehensive Activity Services. You will lead the evaluation process, create individualized recreation plans, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning to meet resident needs.

Qualifications include state licensure/registration as Activities Director or related role, a high school diploma, CNA certification, and experience in health care activities

Qualifications

• Licensed or registered in state of practice as Activities Director, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist
• Minimum two years’ experience in social or recreational program within the last five years
• Minimum one year full-time experience in health care activities program
• Certification as Therapeutic Recreation Specialist preferred
• Must maintain regular attendance

Responsibilities

• Interview and assess residents prior to initial Care Plan Conference and document findings
• Update assessments and plans per state/federal regulations
• Develop monthly recreation calendars reflecting resident needs
• Communicate facility programs to residents, staff, families and volunteers
• Manage the facility Volunteer Program
• Maintain departmental documentation of services and resident progress
• Coordinate with social services to organize Resident’s Council
• Assign jobs and set priorities
• Serve on the QAA committee
