Job summary

Arbor Care Centers in Nebraska is seeking an Activities Director to develop, organize and coordinate living center and community resources to provide comprehensive Activity Services and programs that meet the needs and interests of each resident.

You will interview and assess residents, create individualized recreation plans, manage volunteers, and work with interdisciplinary teams to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company information.
• Must relate professionally and positively with patients, families, and staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Interview and assess residents before the initial Care Plan Conference and develop an individual recreation plan.
• Update assessments and plans per state or federal regulations.
• Develop monthly recreation calendars reflecting residents’ needs.
• Communicate facility programs to residents, staff, families and volunteers.
• Manage facility Volunteer Program.
• Maintain departmental documentation of services and resident progress toward goals.
• Facilitate residents in organizing and developing a Resident’s Council with social services.
• Make job assignments and set priorities.
• Serve as a member of the QAA committee.
