Job summary

Signature HealthCARE Rockwood Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to help meet the social, emotional, physical, and therapeutic needs of residents. You will assist in planning and promoting activities both in the center and in the community, and provide in-room activities for residents who cannot attend daily events.

Previous activities/healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory; CNA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous Activities/Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities to meet social, emotional, physical and therapeutic needs of residents.
• Assist in initiation and promotion of activities inside and outside the facility.
• Provide in-room activities for residents unable to attend daily events.
• Assist in creating an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Consistently meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation.
• Solicit community involvement when planning facility activities and events.
