The role emphasizes communication, organization, and documentation to ensure meaningful experiences and measurable outcomes for residents in a premier nursing and rehabilitative setting in Maryland.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy or gerontology preferred.
• Experience in activities coordination or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Must have long-term experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement recreational programs and activities to promote resident engagement, socialization, and cognitive stimulation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify resident needs and preferences, and develop activities that cater to their interests
• Develop and maintain relationships with community resources, vendors, and volunteers to enhance programming and services
• Manage and coordinate logistics for events, outings, and special activities
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation, activities, and assessments
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
