Job summary

Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glen Hill in Danbury, CT is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Recreation Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life by planning and leading recreational programs.

You will coordinate arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities, tailor activities to each resident's needs, and work with families and staff to foster a caring community. Previous healthcare or recreational planning experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Prior experience in healthcare staffing and/or recreational programming is a strong plus.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities.
• Adapt programs to meet changing needs and abilities of residents.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to promote a positive and supportive community.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide holistic care to residents.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of activities and resident participation.
