A Program Assistant at Erickson Senior Living is responsible for planning and delivering enriching activities for residents in Ashburn. You will work with the Programming team to tailor programs to diverse needs, escort residents on outings, and help maintain safe, engaging activities across common spaces and rooms.

You’ll collaborate with staff and volunteers to create meaningful experiences, monitor resident needs, and support program operations under supervision.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year of experience with geriatric population or related fields, education may substitute for experience.
• 1 year of experience as an Activities Assistant in a licensed health care facility or related internships preferred.
• Experience leading groups with varying physical/cognitive independence preferred.

Aufgaben

• Facilitate structured and impromptu programs for residents in common areas and rooms.
• Escort residents on group trips and excursions, ensuring safety.
• Collaborate with team members, management, and volunteers to deliver engaging programs and activities.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ needs and preferences to the Programming Manager.
• Manage program supplies and equipment, ensuring functionality and safety.
• Participate in team discussions on programming, schedules, and resident issues.
• Prepare and implement activity programs based on the Program Manager’s guidance.
• Lead and set up both group and individual activities, motivating and assisting participants.
