Location: Marathon, Florida

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: The General Manager (GM) oversees daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth management of staff, finances, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include budgeting, revenue forecasting, hiring and training department managers, and maintaining property standards. The GM must be a strong leader with excellent communication and organizational skills, ensuring top-tier service and brand representation. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, guest services and maintenance.
  • Hold regular briefings and meetings with department heads.
  • Ensure full compliance with RIC operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of hotel events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Coordinate with the sales and marketing team to drive bookings, promotions, and special events.
  • Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment.
  • Handling complaints and overseeing the service recovery procedures.
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation, and subsequent achievement of the hotel’s annual Operating Budget, Marketing, and Sales Plan and Capital Budget.
  • Manage the ongoing profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel.
  • Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short and long-term strategic goals for the property.
  • Developing improvement actions and carrying out cost savings.
  • A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies.
  • Closely monitor the hotel’s business reports daily and make decisions accordingly.
  • Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms, Food & Beverage, Admin & General, are on target and accurate.
  • Maximizing room yield and hotel/resort revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
  • Prepare a monthly financial report for the owners and stakeholders.
  • Draw up plans and budgets (revenues, costs, etc.) for the owners.
  • Helping in the procurement of operating supplies, equipment and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment and services.
  • Act as a final decision maker in hiring key staff.
  • Coordinate with impacted departments for the execution of all activities and functions.
  • Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and development.
  • Be accountable for the responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.
  • Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
  • Lead in all aspects of business planning.
  • Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
  • Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both (internal & external audits).
  • Responsible for legalization, Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations, and other legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement new policies, procedures, and practices to enhance guest satisfaction and improve efficiency.
  • Ensures that staffing is maintained at an appropriate level to match business demands.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure rooms and public areas meet established standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Evaluate staff performance as per company policy.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain compliance with Preventative Maintenance and Deep Cleaning Programs through the daily and/or weekly inspection of rooms with the Property Engineer.
  • Create a positive team-oriented environment that focuses on the guest, through employee development and motivation.
  • Ensure that employees are always attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient in their interactions with guests, management and all other employees.
  • Create an environment where employees make empowered decisions to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure that all employees receive fair and equitable treatment according to RIC SOPs.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed based on operational demands.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
