Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in providing resident care and implementing treatment plans. You will assist with documentation, safety, and communication with the care team, residents, and families.

Responsibilities include treating residents under supervision, maintaining infection control standards, participating in care conferences, and educating residents and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in documentation using Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Good communication with residents, families and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment per infection control protocols.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with the team.
• Educate residents and caregivers on home programs and safety.
• Assist nursing with training Restorative Aides.
