Job summary

St John Neuman Center for Rehab and Healthcare is seeking a dedicated housekeeping staff to perform routine cleaning duties and preventive maintenance under direction. You will dust, mop, vacuum, sanitize bathrooms, clean fixtures, and manage trash in resident areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

The role requires reliability, discretion with resident privacy, and compliance with infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, write, and understand the English language.
• High School Diploma or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Dust/polish and arrange furniture or equipment.
• Mop and polish floors.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and draperies.
• Scour and sanitize sinks, toilets, tubs and shower areas.
• Polish plumbing fixtures.
• Clean mirrors, light fixtures, doors, windows, and sills.
• Wash and clean walls.
• Collect trash from the units and dispose in outside container.
• May be called on for utility work in any area of the building.
• May also do project work such as stripping and refinishing floors.
• Handle and mix cleaning chemicals safely and properly.
• Work independently with residents, families, personnel and support agencies.
