Job summary

Inspired Living at Lakewood Ranch is seeking a full-time Cook to support the Restaurant and Hospitality Department. The role ensures high-quality meals, safe food handling, and adherence to dietary requirements for residents.

Under the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality, you will help maintain service standards, train dietary staff, and keep the kitchen clean and compliant with health regulations, contributing to a positive resident dining experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food service required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in food service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality with planning, directing, controlling, communicating, and coaching in the Food Service Department.
• Follows the Menu Program that meets nutritional requirements, as directed by the Director, Food Service. If assisting with food purchasing, then follows buying practices approved by the management company.
• Responds to resident likes and dislikes maintaining high resident satisfaction.
• Maintains food temperatures and time controls during storage, production, and serving according to required food safety standards.
• Ensures that staff provides a service to maintain good resident experiences during meal times.
• Provides input and support to the Director, Restaurant and Hospitality on new hires and training staff in the dietary department.
• Maintains a clean kitchen. This includes all equipment, walls, dry storage, cold storage cooking, and preparation surfaces and dish storage areas.
• Performs safety and compliance with health standards.
• Fosters teamwork and positive impact on residents and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Education
