Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies Solutions is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems across multiple industries. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and conduct analytical testing to meet contract specifications.

You will work at customer sites, handle equipment such as pumps and instrumentation, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with site teams to deliver reliable performance and service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience in service/maintenance in an industrial environment.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
• Conduct analytical testing (e.g., turbidity, pH, chlorine, TOC) per site specs.
• Provide parts refurbishment, calibration, and equipment inspection activities.
• Support customer communications and generate technical summaries of work performed.
• Ensure safety and compliance on site and with company policies.

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Field Service Representative role at Veolia Water Technologies Solutions involves providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems across various industries. This position is critical for ensuring the optimal performance of technologies such as media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, and more. The representative will be responsible for troubleshooting, conducting maintenance, and performing analytical testing to meet customer needs and contract specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
• Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific testing requirements
• Assist in providing service activities including parts refurbishment, maintenance, calibration of equipment, inspection, repair, performance testing, customer communications, project assessment and execution, and telephone customer support
• Provide extensive equipment support and general hardware and software support
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
• Create and maintain site paperwork and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
• Consult with customer management and operation teams
• Ensure contract compliance with volume and quality specifications
• Collect payment information and generate shipping and billing paperwork
• Ensure compliance with all aspects of safety on the job, including the operation and maintenance of an assigned company vehicle (if applicable), and comply with all Veolia Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• General knowledge of electrical equipment, water chemistry, and safety
• Computer proficiency with a minimum of word processing and spreadsheets, and basic database knowledge
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong technical, mathematical, and customer service skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to drive projects to completion
• Demonstratedsignificant problem-solving ability with an unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments
• Ability to use ordinary hand tools, calibrated tools, and analytical instrumentation
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams
• Ability to learn applicable company procedures within a reasonable time from the start of employment

Education & Experience:

Required

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience in service/maintenance ORequivalent in an industrial environment
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation

Working Conditions:

• Regular requirement to reach with hands and arms, below and above shoulder height
• Regular requirement to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Regularly work around machines, electrical, chemicals, unprotected heights
• Work at customer sites where instruments may be in difficult-to-reach spaces requiring the use of a ladder to reach
• Working in close/cramped/small spaces
• Comfort working in an industrial (largely outdoor) setting
• Work schedules will fluctuate based on customer and business needs/demands

Compensation:
The hourly rate of $25.00 - $27.00 is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles.
