Job summary

Dominium is seeking a Community Manager for Matlock Flats, a 192-unit apartment community in Arlington, TX. You will oversee daily operations, maximize occupancy, and maintain resident relations while aligning with Dominium’s policies and budget.

You will lead staff, manage HR tasks, coordinate with corporate and maintenance, handle rent collection and move-ins/outs, and ensure legal compliance. This role requires strong communication, time management, and integrity to deliver quality affordable

Qualifications

• Two-year degree (4-year degree preferred) in a related field or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Accredited Residential Manager (ARM), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Resident Apartment Manager (RAM), or similar designation preferred.
• Three years of multifamily property management experience required; tax credit experience preferred.
• Accounting and administrative background preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Yardi experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English) and ability to speak in front of groups of people. The ability to speak a second language is a plus.
• Must be reliable and have exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Must be able to think independently, work with minimal supervision, and coach, mentor and manage others.

Responsibilities

• Maintains daily operations and may fulfill duties of other positions to ensure curb appeal.
• Meets with staff to discuss occupancy goals, renewals, and projections; oversees training and performance reviews.
• Establishes good communication with residents and supports retention programs.
• Oversees purchasing procedures, budgeting, and compliance with policy.
• Collects rent and related monies; initiates evictions as needed per policy.
• Handles move-ins/outs and inspects units; processes screening per housing programs.
• Manages applicant files and housing program compliance.
• Maintains records, audits, and safety meetings; reports accidents.
• Oversees vendor management and external contractors for quality workmanship.
• Keeps current on federal, state, and local laws affecting property management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
