Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Analyse engineering concepts and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Oversee construction management teams to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to contract specifications.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams including contractors, designers, and engineers.
  • Monitor technical components to ensure they meet engineering and contractual standards.
  • Prepare and review cash flow forecasts, budgets, and project schedules.
  • Track contractor progress and ensure timely project delivery.

Resident Engineer - Water Construction

The Role

As a Resident Engineer, you will oversee a range of construction projects of varying complexity, applying established engineering and construction management principles to ensure successful delivery. This role requires strong technical judgment, the ability to interpret and adapt designs, and confidence in making decisions on-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse engineering concepts and ensure alignment with project requirements
  • Oversee construction management teams to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to contract specifications
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams including contractors, designers, and engineers
  • Monitor technical components to ensure they meet engineering and contractual standards
  • Prepare and review cash flow forecasts, budgets, and project schedules
  • Track contractor progress and ensure timely project delivery
Team & Projects

You will be part of a construction management function focused on delivering municipal water infrastructure projects, working across a portfolio of critical and complex builds.

About You

Minimum Requirements

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering and or construction management

Key Competencies

  • Strong decision-making impacting cost and performance
  • Contract management expertise
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Construction schedule review and oversight
  • QA QC and quality assurance experience

Additional Qualifications (preferred)

  • Certifications such as CCM, USACE CQM, CCCA, or NICET

Compensation
