Job summary

WSP is seeking a Full-Time Resident Engineer for our Peoria, IL office. You will act as the client’s on-site representative, overseeing CSO storage tank construction and related underground wastewater facilities.

The role requires hands-on supervision of complex activities, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Qualified candidates have 12+ years in construction management, with direct experience on CSO projects and strong contract administration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of progressive construction inspection/management experience.
• Experience as Resident Engineer or similar lead role on CSO storage tank or large underground wastewater facility.
• Strong understanding of CSO/wastewater infrastructure sequencing and risk management.
• Experience with contract administration, pay apps, RFIs, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site oversight of all construction activities, including excavation, structural concrete, and site work.
• Serve as client’s on-site representative for contract administration.
• Interpret and enforce plans, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead progress meetings and prepare minutes; maintain project records and documentation.
• Coordinate with design engineers and inspectors; ensure safety and quality compliance.
