Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resident Engineer in Albany, NY to ensure that infrastructure projects are built to the highest standards. You will perform complex engineering tasks, coordinate project activities, and manage documentation for infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of construction engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, and a valid engineering license.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and the expected salary range is between $103,075 - $147,250.

Role Overview

In the role of Resident Engineer, you’ll be on the front lines of infrastructure development, ensuring that what’s designed is built to the highest standards. From highways and bridges to water treatment plants, transit systems, and power facilities, your work delivers clients’ visions with precision, integrity, and excellence. Responsibilities

• Perform complex construction assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard construction engineering techniques and procedures
• Conduct project field coordination, documentation, cost monitoring, bidding and scheduling
• Receive, issue and track RFIs, submittals and other required data
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years experience in construction engineering
• Local candidates given preference
• CCM

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field
• Previous construction engineering experience
• Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Estimating & CPM Scheduling Software, and web-based document collaboration software.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
